Our hospital, which is
usually known as Centro Médico Americano, has an
excellent location in Progreso, State of Yucatán in
México; it is in fact located in town, very close to the
main streets of the city and just in front of the City
Hall. Progreso is a 50,000 population city and also a
developing industrial port, with nice, peaceful and
quite beaches, which are an important attraction for
national and international tourism. With these city
features, Centro Médico Americano, which was established
in December the 6th 1989, has become an important source
of health care and guarantees the granting of the right
medical attention that can be required at any moment,
even for local residents, as for tourism.
Medical team and
infrastructure
Our medical team is
conformed with 40 specialist doctors in different
medical areas, such as, among others, gynecology and
pediatrics, rheumatology, cardiology, urology, oncology,
family, etc; besides, our emergency room is always cared
by well-experienced house physicians. All physicians,
specialists or not, work in an extensive and well
equipped infrastructure, which is used to three
different services: external consultation, hospital and
laboratories.
